The Astro Pi is equipped with a Sense HAT (Hardware Attached on Top) containing various sensors.
Session Goals
- Explore the Sense HAT V2 sensors.
- Write code to gather temperature, humidity, and acceleration data.
- Brainstorm: Can acceleration data help us calculate speed?
The Sensors
- 🌡️ Temperature & Humidity: Monitor internal conditions.
- 🧭 Magnetometer: Measures magnetic fields (useful for orientation).
- 🏎️ Accelerometer: Measures acceleration forces (g-force).
- 🔄 Gyroscope: Measures rotation.
Activity: Run the code to see simulated sensor readings. Think about how the ISS moving at constant speed affects the accelerometer (Hint: Physics!).
